Designing for Equity and Excellence

The 2027 ASPA National Summit will build on the 2026 Summit’s exploration of agency and ask a broader question: what are we designing for, and what will secondary education need to look like for the students of 2040?

A student entering Year 7 in 2027 will leave school in 2032 and enter a working life shaped by the social, technological and economic conditions of the 2040s. The decisions being made now will influence the education system that prepares them for that future.

The Summit provides an opportunity for secondary school leaders, researchers, policymakers and education stakeholders to contribute to these conversations while the direction of national education policy and reform remains open.
