Meet Margaret

Margaret O’Brien is a social entrepreneur and former corporate strategist with a career spanning business innovation, start-up advisory, and social impact leadership. Before co-founding Young Change Agents, Margaret worked across corporate and start-up ecosystems, advising emerging ventures on growth strategy and purpose-led innovation. Drawing on this cross-sector experience, she has built one of Australia’s leading social enterprises in youth entrepreneurship education.
 

Through her leadership, Young Change Agents has partnered with governments, schools, and industry to empower over 190,000 young Australians across 1,700 schools to develop entrepreneurial mindsets, confidence, and problem-solving skills for a changing world. Over the past decade, she has championed the belief that every young person - regardless of geography or background - deserves the opportunity to shape their own future and contribute meaningfully to their community.
