Sheree has been a member of the Executive of Tasmanian Principals Association since its inception in 2003, initially as Secretary and more recently as Vice-President Secondary.
Sheree became a Principal at Reece High School in 2002 after a time as Assistant to the District Superintendent. Reece High is the largest high school on the North West Coast and was rebuilt after it was destroyed by fire in December 2000. Since the return to the new school in 2003, Reece High has gained worldwide recognition for both its design and its transformation of secondary education. Reece High has won numerous awards including: James D McConnell for educational facility project excellence; Design Share Award for Innovative Learning Environment; Learning Together Award for the transformation of secondary education, and Reece was also recognised as a High Demand Government School.
Sheree has had extensive experience in high schools, district high schools and system positions. Her teaching background is in English. Throughout her career Sheree has led and worked with committees and references groups at both a regional and state level in the following areas: school transformation, curriculum development; inclusive practice including developing supportive school environments; innovative ICT, and drug and health education with a special interest mental health and building resilient communities. She is currently the chair for Asia Education Foundation in Tasmania, and Reece High School is a project school.
Sheree was selected by the Tasmanian Minister for Education to be a member of the School Improvement Board, which works with the learning service to ensure that the school improvement plans meet the learning needs of students within the region. As a representative of the TPA, Sheree is also a member of the recently formed Tasmanian Leadership Development Team which works with Department representatives to formulate policy and programs to support school leadership.
In addition Sheree is a director/member of the Board of Principals Australia, Headspace Australia, National Leadership Learning Network, and a writer for the Principals Standards Project.

Rob Nairn is President of the West Australian Secondary Schools Executive Association (WASSEA) which represents public secondary school Principals and Deputy Principals. He was previously a committee member of the West Australian Secondary Deputy Principals Association and has been a member of the WASSEA Management Committee since 2001 and President since 2008. He has extensive experience in metropolitan and regional Senior High Schools in low socio economic areas. Before being elected into his position at WASSEA Rob was Principal at Swan View SHS from 2003, a school that has won two Dare to Lead Excellence in Indigenous Education Awards. He has had extensive experience in Senior High Schools in both metropolitan and rural locations. As a member of the national executive of the Australian Secondary Principals Association (ASPA) Rob leads the reference group dealing with Rural and Remote Education. He is also an executive member on the Board of Principals Australia, which is the professional learning arm of the four peak school principals associations in Australia (Australian Primary Principals Association (APPA), Australian Secondary Principals Association (ASPA), Catholic Secondary Principals Australia (CaSPA), and the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia (AHISA)). Throughout his career Rob has worked with committees and reference groups at a district, state, national and international level as well as a presenter at state and national conferences. He is also a member of the Curriculum Council Secondary Schooling Education Committee and chairs the Curriculum Council Endorsed Programs Committee in Western Australia.

Andrew Blair was elected as President of ASPA in 2005 after being a member of the Executive for 5 years. At a state level, he was President of the Victorian Association of State Secondary Principals (VASSP). He concluded that role at the end of 2006 after a term of four years.
Andrew is also active at the international level, being re-elected to the International Confederation of Principals Executive for a second term beginning in 2007. He is currently the ICP's President-Elect and will be the ICP President for 2009-2010.
While on the ASPA executive, Andrew has provided leadership in the area of Languages, the Arts, School Leader Autonomy research and Boys Education. Since his election as President, Andrew has established close and cooperative working relationships with the other Principals' Professional Associations' leaders in order to pursue areas of common interest.
His career as an teacher and leader includes working for over thirty years both in country and metropolitan Victoria with his most recent principal's role being at Mt Eliza Secondary College. Andrew is a Fellow of the Australian College of Educators (ACE) and the immediate past President of the Victorian Branch of ACE. Andrew holds a variety of Board positions including on the Asia Education Foundation, The Education Foundation and the Teaching Australia Board.

Peter is the Principal of Victor Harbor High School which is situated on the south coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula some 80 kms from Adelaide.
Peter was elected to the ASPA board as Secretary – Treasurer in 2006 after being a member of the Board of the South Australian Principals Association (SASPA) for 12 years, firstly as an area representative and then for eight years as the Secretary Treasurer. He remains a member of the Professional Services team of SASPA. He brings a number of skills to support and develop the administrative functions of ASPA.
Peter was appointed Principal of Victor Harbor High School in 2008 after four years as Principal of Waikerie High School in the Riverland of South Australia. His career as a teacher and leader spans over thirty years with experience in both metropolitan and country schools in a range of leadership positions.
Victor Harbor and Waikerie High Schools are both regarded as high performing and innovative schools. The schools have a focus on flexible, personalised curriculum, and teaching & learning based on the preferred learning styles of students. Learner well being is a main priority at both schools with each student having a personal learning plan (PLP) and a teacher mentor. Victor Harbor is a pilot school for the e-plp and its moderation for the new South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) to be introduced in 2009. Victor Harbor has also gained National and International recognition for its approach to student wellbeing in particular its Doctor on Campus program.
Prior to being a Principal, Peter was a Project Officer within DECS with responsibility for the curriculum design of the Australian Science and Mathematics School (ASMS) and its operation. The school has international acclaim and recognition as a leader in curriculum design and innovative pedagogy. He is one of the co-authors of the interdisciplinary curriculum and mentor programs which are features of the school.
Peter brings a wealth of experience and most importantly a country voice to the ASPA table. Peter’s teaching background is in Science, Mathematics and Information & Communication Technologies. He is passionate about sport and he holds several coaching qualifications in a range of sports.
